BRANDS&BEYOND was started by Alan Dergent.
He graduated in 1999 with a Masters Degree in Integral Product Design (Henry van de Velde Institute - Antwerp - Belgium). After an additional Masters Degree in Marketing Management (Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School), he started his career in international product management of projection systems at Barco. He continued it in the marketing department of Samsonite, where he was in charge of the marketing of a wide range of such luggage collections as Samsonite and its sub brand 'Black Label'.
